Fomantis is a phenomenal Grass-typed Pokemon. Fomantis is not a Pokemon anyone usually expects sees on the battlefield. Fomantis can be quite a contender in the LC tier (Little Cup). Fomantis is weak to Bug, Fire, Flying, Ice, and Poison-typed attacks.

Physical Sweeper Fomantis (Contrary)
Fomantis is a decent Physical Sweeper for single battles. It's designed to take down the opponent's team with brute physical power. Choice Band will increase the damage of Fomantis's physical moves by 1.5x at the cost of locking you into the first move you pick. Life Orb boosts the power of Fomantis's damaging moves by 1.3x but it then loses 1/10 its max HP immediately after the attack. With Contrary, if Fomantis has a stat stage raised it is lowered instead and vice versa. Facade's damage doubles when the user has a status affliction.

Fomantis is a remarkable Special Sweeper for single battles. This moveset attempts to take down the opponent's team with high-damaging special attacks. Throat Spray activates when a Pokemon uses a sound-based move (in this case Round or Snore) and raises Fomantis's special attack stat by 2 stages. Life Orb boosts the power of Fomantis's damaging moves by 1.3x but it then loses 1/10 its max HP immediately after the attack. With Contrary, if Fomantis has a stat stage raised it is lowered instead and vice versa.
