What is a good competitive moveset for Giratina? These builds have been optimized for Pokemon competing in Sword/Shield Single Battles. The movesets and EVs have been specifically calibrated to deal the most amount of damage to the largest group of potentially common opponents and typing threats for the Sword/Shield generation metagame.
Giratina is a fabulous Ghost and Dragon-typed Pokemon. Giratina are common Pokemon to see in the SS metagame. Giratina is considered strong enough to compete with Uber tiered Pokemon. Giratina is weak to Dark, Dragon, Fairy, Ghost, and Ice-typed attacks.

Physical Sweeper Giratina (Pressure)
Giratina is a legendary Physical Sweeper for single battles. It attempts to take down the opponent's team with brute physical power. Choice Band will increase the damage of Giratina's physical moves by 1.5x at the cost of locking you into the first move you pick. Life Orb boosts the power of Giratina's damaging moves by 1.3x but it then loses 1/10 its max HP immediately after the attack. With Pressure, if Giratina is the target of a foe's move that move loses one additional pp. Brutal Swing was added to provide additional threat coverage.

The Weakness Policy is consumed and its Attack and Special Attack are increased by two stages each. With Pressure, if Giratina is the target of a foe's move that move loses one additional pp.
