It often dominates battles in the LC tier (Little Cup). Its only type-related weakness is Fighting. Explore the movesets below to see how Happiny performs in battles.
Happiny proves to be a phenomenal Special Sweeper for single battles. It is primarily designed to take down the opponent's team with formidable special power. Throat Spray activates when a Pokemon uses a sound-based move (in this case Hyper Voice or Round) and enhances Happiny's special attack stat by 2 stages. Life Orb boosts the power of Happiny's damaging moves by 1.3x but it then loses 1/10 its max HP immediately after the attack. With Natural Cure, Happiny has its non-volatile status condition cured when it switches out.
◆ Hyper Voice is a special STAB-boosted 90-base power Normal-type move (no additional effect. Hits adjacent foes). ◆ Round is a special STAB-boosted 60-base power Normal-type move (power doubles if others used round this turn). ◆ Flamethrower is a special 90-base power Fire-type move (10% chance to burn the target). ◆ Incinerate is a special 60-base power Fire-type move (destroys the foes berry/gem). ◆ Psychic is a special 90-base power Psychic-type move (10% chance to lower the target's special defense by 1 stage). ◆ Shadow Ball is a special 80-base power Ghost-type move (20% chance to lower the target's special defense by 1 stage).

Several moves listed here may have additional effects that might alter actual damage output which are not factored on this specific list. Use damage calculators to find actual damage amounts.
