Species: Herdier Item: Shell Bell / Life Orb Ability: Sand Rush Nature: Adamant (+Atk, -SpA) EVs: 252 Hp / 252 Atk / 4 SpD Moveset: - Strength / Facade - Wild Charge / Thunder Fang - Psychic Fangs - Play Rough
Physical Sweeper Herdier (Sand Rush)
Herdier is an extraordinary Physical Sweeper for single battles. It was designed to take down the opponent's team with brute physical power. Life Orb boosts the power of Herdier's damaging moves by 1.3x but it then loses 1/10 its max HP immediately after the attack. The Shell Bell item option is to help Herdier recover from the recoil damage it may take from Wild Charge. With Sand Rush, if sandstorm is active Herdier's speed is doubled; immunity to sandstorm. Facade's damage doubles when the user has a status affliction.
◆ Strength is a physical STAB-boosted 80-base power Normal-type move that deals a nice amount of damage. ◆ Facade is a physical STAB-boosted 70-base power Normal-type move (power doubles if Herdier is burn/poison/paralyzed). ◆ Wild Charge is a physical 90-base power Electric-type move (has 1/4 recoil). ◆ Thunder Fang is a physical 65-base power Electric-type move (10% chance to paralyze. 10% chance to flinch). ◆ Psychic Fangs is a physical 85-base power Psychic-type move (destroys screens, unless the target is immune). ◆ Play Rough is a physical 90-base power Fairy-type move (10% chance to lower the target's attack by 1 stage).
