Say hello to Kadabra, a high-quality Pokémon that excels with Psychic typing! Kadabra is not a Pokémon anyone usually expects to see on the battlefield. It's an underrated pick that could surprise many in the meta. It is weak to Bug, Dark, and Ghost-typed attacks. Check out the movesets listed below to learn more about Kadabra's strategies.
Kadabra is a fabulous Special Sweeper. It's primary goal is to take down the opponent's team with high-damaging special attacks. Focus Sash helps protect Kadabra from being one-shotted and allowing it to atleast use a crucial move when brought out. Life Orb boosts the power of Kadabra's damaging moves by 1.3x but it then loses 1/10 its max HP immediately after the attack. With Magic Guard, Kadabra can only be damaged by direct attacks.
♦ Psychic is a special STAB-boosted 90-base power Psychic-type move (10% chance to lower the target's special defense by 1 stage). ♦ Psyshock is a special STAB-boosted 80-base power Psychic-type move (damages target based on defense, not special defense). ♦ Shadow Ball is a special 80-base power Ghost-type move (20% chance to lower the target's special defense by 1 stage). ♦ Energy Ball is a special 80-base power Grass-type move (10% chance to lower the target's special defense by 1 stage). ♦ Grass Knot is a special 0-base power Grass-type move (more power the heavier the target). ♦ Signal Beam is a special 75-base power Bug-type move (10% chance to confuse the target).

Note: The damage listed here under Versus is not actually calculated using the in-game damage formula. It is simply calculated using typing weaknesses and resistances from the selected type-matchup modifier along with STAB (if applied) to help sort through and give a general idea as to how powerful certain moves might be towards that selected typing after modifiers are applied. Several moves listed here may have additional effects that might alter actual damage output which are not factored on this specific list. Use damage calculators to find actual damage amounts.
