In the LC tier (Little Cup), it's a fierce competitor. There were no known abilities back in the Gold/Silver Pokémon games. Its only type-related weaknesses are Electric and Grass. In the dark days before Generation IV, a move's damage category was determined by its type. With a Gold Berry equipped to it, restores 30 hp when at 1/2 max hp or less then the Gold Berry gets consumed.
