Movesets for Singles

What is a good competitive moveset for Doduo? These builds have been optimized for Pokemon competing in Red/Blue Single Battles. The movesets and EVs have been specifically calibrated to deal the most amount of damage to the largest group of potentially common opponents and typing threats for the Red/Blue generation metagame.

Doduo is a decent Normal and Flying-typed Pokemon. Doduo is not a Pokemon anyone usually expects sees on the battlefield. There were no known abilities or equippable items back in the Red/Blue Pokemon games. Doduo is weak to Electric, Ice, and Rock-typed attacks.

Physical Sweeper Doduo (Retro)

Doduo is a sensational Physical Sweeper. It tries to take down the opponent's team with brute physical power. The rules of gen-one were quite varied from today. Remember before Generation IV, a move's damage category was determined by its type.

Double-Edge is a physical STAB-boosted 100-base power Normal-type move (has 1/4 recoil).
Body Slam is a physical STAB-boosted 85-base power Normal-type move (30% chance to paralyze the target).
Drill Peck is a physical STAB-boosted 80-base power Flying-type move that deals a decent amount of damage.
Sky Attack is a physical STAB-boosted 140-base power Flying-type move (charges turn 1. hits turn 2).
Toxic is a status move (badly poisons the target).
Reflect is a status move (while active, your Doduo's defense is doubled).
