Movesets for Singles

What is a good competitive moveset for Exeggcute? These builds have been optimized for Pokemon competing in Red/Blue Single Battles. The movesets and EVs have been specifically calibrated to deal the most amount of damage to the largest group of potentially common opponents and typing threats for the Red/Blue generation metagame.

Exeggcute is a marvelous Grass and Psychic-typed Pokemon. Exeggcute is not a Pokemon anyone usually expects sees on the battlefield. There were no known abilities or equippable items back in the Red/Blue Pokemon games. Exeggcute is weak to Bug, Fire, Flying, Ice, and Poison-typed attacks.

Special Sweeper Exeggcute (Retro)

Exeggcute is a phenomenal Special Sweeper. It's meant to take down the opponent's team with high-damaging special attacks. The rules of gen-one were quite varied from today. Years before Generation IV, a move's damage category was determined by its type.

Psychic is a special STAB-boosted 90-base power Psychic-type move (33% chance to lower the target's special by 1 stage).
Solar Beam is a special STAB-boosted 120-base power Grass-type move (charges turn 1. hits turn 2).
Stun Spore is a status move (paralyzes the target).
Reflect is a status move (while active, your Exeggcute's defense is doubled).
