Lickitung is an extraordinary Normal-typed Pokemon. It's a pretty regular sight to see Lickitung out in the 1st generation battlefield. Lickitung is typically seen in the UU tier (Underused). There were no known abilities or equippable items back in the Red/Blue Pokemon games. Lickitung's only type-related weakness is Fighting.

Physical Sweeper Lickitung (Retro)
Lickitung is an outstanding Physical Sweeper in single battles. It is designed to take down the opponent's team with brute physical power. The original Red/Blue Pokemon had alot to deal with on the battle field. In the dark days before Generation IV, a move's damage category was determined by its type.
♦ Body Slam is a physical STAB-boosted 85-base power Normal-type move (30% chance to paralyze the target).
♦ Earthquake is a physical 100-base power Ground-type move that deals a enormous amount of damage.
♦ Seismic Toss is a physical 1-base power Fighting-type move (damage = Lickitung's level. Can hit ghost types).
♦ Counter is a physical 0-base power Fighting-type move (if hit by physical attack, returns double damage).
♦ Defense Curl is a status move (raises your Lickitung's defense by 1 stage).

Special Sweeper Lickitung (Retro)
Lickitung is a marvelous Special Sweeper in single battles. It's primary goal is to take down the opponent's team with high-damaging special attacks. From the original 151, few Pokemon could compare to Lickitung at the start of the Pokemon metagame. Years before Generation IV, a move's damage category was determined by its type.
♦ Ice Beam is a special 95-base power Ice-type move (10% chance to freeze the target).
♦ Surf is a special 95-base power Water-type move that deals a great amount of damage.
♦ Bubble Beam is a special 65-base power Water-type move (33% chance to lower the target's speed by 1 stage).
♦ Thunderbolt is a special 95-base power Electric-type move (10% chance to paralyze the target).
♦ Defense Curl is a status move (raises your Lickitung's defense by 1 stage).
