Focus Sash helps protect Banette from being one-shotted and allowing it to atleast use a crucial move when brought out. Life Orb boosts the power of Banette's damaging moves by 1.3x but it then loses 1/10 its max HP immediately after the attack. With Insomnia, Banette cannot fall asleep. gaining this ability while asleep cures it.

Shadow Ball is a physical STAB-boosted 80-base power Ghost-type move (20% chance to lower the target's special defense by 1 stage).
Night Shade is a physical STAB-boosted 0-base power Ghost-type move (does damage equal to your Banette's level).
