Altaria is a wonderful Physical Sweeper. The purpose of this moveset is to take down the opponent's team with brute physical power. With Cloud Nine, while Altaria is active the effects of weather conditions are disabled. Play Rough was added to provide additional threat coverage.

♦ Dragon Pulse is a special STAB-boosted 85-base power Dragon-type move that deals a decent amount of damage.
♦ Air Cutter is a special STAB-boosted 60-base power Flying-type move (high critical hit ratio. hits adjacent foes).
♦ Moonblast is a special 95-base power Fairy-type move (30% chance to lower the target's special attack by 1 stage).
♦ Dazzling Gleam is a special 80-base power Fairy-type move (no additional effect. hits adjacent foes).
♦ Ice Beam is a special 90-base power Ice-type move (10% chance to freeze the target).

Altaria Special Wall (Nimbus Defender)
Altaria is pretty popular Special Wall. It is primarily designed to take a nice amount of hits from special attacks while dealing some decent damage. Leftovers are always a great recovery option to ensure Altaria last longer regaining it's stamina every turn. With Natural Cure, Altaria has its major status condition cured when it switches out.
♦ Roost is a status move (heals 50% hp. flying-type removed until turn ends).
♦ Heal Bell is a status move (cures your Altaria's party of all status conditions).
♦ Toxic is a status move (badly poisons the target; Note: Poison types can't miss with Toxic).
Note: This moveset is considered Taunt bait! It is highly recommended you typically have atleast one move that does actual damage!

Altaria is a stupendous Physical Sweeper. It's primary goal is to take down the opponent's team with brute physical power. Life Orb boosts the power of Altaria's damaging moves by 1.3x but it then loses 1/10 its max HP immediately after the attack. With Natural Cure, Altaria has its major status condition cured when it switches out. Return will become a nasty physical fairy type move if you decide to mega evolve it

♦ Return is a physical 0-base power Normal-type move (max 102 power at maximum happiness).
