Ampharos is an awesome Special Sweeper. The purpose of this moveset is to take down the opponent's team with high-damaging special attacks. Life Orb boosts the power of Ampharos's damaging moves by 1.3x but it then loses 1/10 its max HP immediately after the attack. With Static, 30% chance a pokemon making contact with Ampharos will be paralyzed.

Ampharos is a decent Physical Wall. It is primarily designed to take a nice amount of physical hits while dealing some decent damage. With Plus, if an active ally has this ability or the minus ability Ampharos's sp. atk is 1.5x.
