Get hyped for Budew, a notable Pokémon with Grass and Poison typing! Budew is not a Pokémon anyone usually expects to see on the battlefield. The LC tier (Little Cup) is where it shines. It is weak to Fire, Flying, Ice, and Psychic-typed attacks. Want to master Budew's movesets? Dive into our detailed strategies below!
Budew is a pretty decent Special Sweeper. It was designed to take down the opponent's team with high-damaging special attacks. Life Orb boosts the power of Budew's damaging moves by 1.3x but it then loses 1/10 its max HP immediately after the attack. With Leaf Guard, if sunny day is active Budew cannot be statused and rest will fail for it.
♦ Leaf Storm is a special STAB-boosted 130-base power Grass-type move (lowers your Budew's special attack by 2 stages). ♦ Energy Ball is a special STAB-boosted 90-base power Grass-type move (10% chance to lower the target's special defense by 1 stage). ♦ Sludge Bomb is a special STAB-boosted 90-base power Poison-type move (30% chance to poison the target). ♦ Venoshock is a special STAB-boosted 65-base power Poison-type move (power doubles if the target is poisoned). ♦ Shadow Ball is a special 80-base power Ghost-type move (20% chance to lower the target's special defense by 1 stage). ♦ Extrasensory is a special 80-base power Psychic-type move (10% chance to flinch the target).

Note: The damage listed here under Versus is not actually calculated using the in-game damage formula. It is simply calculated using typing weaknesses and resistances from the selected type-matchup modifier along with STAB (if applied) to help sort through and give a general idea as to how powerful certain moves might be towards that selected typing after modifiers are applied. Several moves listed here may have additional effects that might alter actual damage output which are not factored on this specific list. Use damage calculators to find actual damage amounts.
