What is a good competitive moveset for Pansage? These builds have been optimized for Pokemon competing in Sun/Moon Single Battles. The movesets and EVs have been specifically calibrated to deal the most amount of damage to the largest group of potentially common opponents and typing threats for the Sun/Moon generation metagame.
Pansage is pretty popular Grass-typed Pokemon. Pansage is not a Pokemon anyone usually expects sees on the battlefield. Pansage can be quite a contender in the LC tier (Little Cup). Pansage is weak to Bug, Fire, Flying, Ice, and Poison-typed attacks.

Physical Sweeper Pansage (Gluttony)
Pansage is an awesome Physical Sweeper. It's primary goal is to take down the opponent's team with brute physical power. With Gluttony, when Pansage has 1/2 or less of its maximum hp it uses certain berries early. Low Sweep was added to provide additional threat coverage.
♦ Vine Whip is a physical STAB-boosted 45-base power Grass-type move that deals damage.
♦ Low Sweep is a physical 65-base power Fighting-type move (100% chance to lower the target's speed by 1 stage).
♦ Return is a physical 0-base power Normal-type move (max 102 power at maximum happiness).
♦ Knock Off is a physical 65-base power Dark-type move (1.5x damage if foe holds an item; Note: This will also remove that item).
♦ Crunch is a physical 80-base power Dark-type move (20% chance to lower the target's defense by 1 stage).
♦ Shadow Claw is a physical 70-base power Ghost-type move (high critical hit ratio).

♦ Energy Ball is a special STAB-boosted 90-base power Grass-type move (10% chance to lower the target's special defense by 1 stage).
♦ Round is a special 60-base power Normal-type move (power doubles if others used round this turn).
♦ Snore is a special 50-base power Normal-type move (Pansage must be asleep. 30% chance to flinch target).
♦ Synthesis is a status move (heals your Pansage by a weather-dependent amount).
♦ Toxic is a status move (badly poisons the target; Note: Poison types can't miss with Toxic).
