What is a good competitive moveset for Vikavolt-totem? These builds have been optimized for Pokemon competing in Sun/Moon Single Battles. The movesets and EVs have been specifically calibrated to deal the most amount of damage to the largest group of potentially common opponents and typing threats for the Sun/Moon generation metagame.
Vikavolt is an awesome Bug and Electric-typed Pokemon. It's pretty standard to find yourself dealing with Vikavolt when battling in the 7th generation meta. This Pokemon deserves to see more play in the meta. Vikavolt's only type-related weaknesses are Fire and Rock.

Special Sweeper Vikavolt-Totem (Levitate)
Vikavolt is a pretty decent Special Sweeper for single battles. It's purpose is to take down the opponent's team with high-damaging special attacks. Life Orb boosts the power of Vikavolt's damaging moves by 1.3x but it then loses 1/10 its max HP immediately after the attack. With Levitate, Vikavolt is immune to damaging Ground-typed moves (except Thousand Arrows). Levitate also makes Vikavolt unaffected by the effects of Spikes, Arena Trap, Toxic Spikes, Sticky Web, Rototiller or terrain effects. Keep in mind that Ingrain, Gravity, Smack down and the Iron ball item will nullify Levitate's effect. With a Buginium Z equipped to it, if Vikavolt has a bug move, this item allows it to use a bug z-move.
◆ Signal Beam is a special STAB-boosted 75-base power Bug-type move (10% chance to confuse the target).
◆ Thunderbolt is a special STAB-boosted 90-base power Electric-type move (10% chance to paralyze the target).
◆ Volt Switch is a special STAB-boosted 70-base power Electric-type move (Vikavolt switches out after damaging the target).
◆ Energy Ball is a special 90-base power Grass-type move (10% chance to lower the target's special defense by 1 stage).
◆ Solar Beam is a special 120-base power Grass-type move (charges turn 1. Hits turn 2. No charge in sunlight).
◆ Flash Cannon is a special 80-base power Steel-type move (10% chance to lower the target's special defense by 1 stage).
