Croagunk is a fabulous Physical Sweeper for single battles. It attempts to take down the opponent's team with brute physical power. Life Orb boosts the power of Croagunk's damaging moves by 1.3x but it then loses 1/10 its max HP immediately after the attack. With Dry Skin, Croagunk is healed 1/4 by water 1/8 by rain; is hurt 1.25x by fire 1/8 by sun. With a Payapa Berry equipped to it, halves damage taken from a supereffective psychic-type attack then the Payapa Berry gets consumed.

Croagunk is a pretty decent Special Sweeper for single battles. It's primary goal is to take down the opponent's team with high-damaging special attacks. Focus Sash helps protect Croagunk from being one-shotted and allowing it to atleast use a crucial move when brought out. With Dry Skin, Croagunk is healed 1/4 by water 1/8 by rain; is hurt 1.25x by fire 1/8 by sun. With a Payapa Berry equipped to it, halves damage taken from a supereffective psychic-type attack then the Payapa Berry gets consumed.

Croagunk is not a Pokemon anyone usually expects sees on the battlefield until it was realized Eviolite would make it quite viable. If Eviolite is held by a Pokémon that is not fully evolved, it will raises the Defense and Special Defense of that Pokemon by 50%. With Anticipation, on switch-in Croagunk shudders if any foe has a supereffective or ohko move.
◆ Sucker Punch is a physical priority-increased 70-base power Dark-type move (usually goes first. Fails if target is not attacking).
◆ Bounce is a physical 85-base power Flying-type move (bounces turn 1. Hits turn 2. 30% paralyze).
◆ Super Fang is a physical 0-base power Normal-type move (does damage equal to 1/2 target's current hp).
