Elgyem is a sensational Psychic-typed Pokemon. Elgyem is not a Pokemon anyone usually expects sees on the battlefield. Elgyem can be quite a contender in the LC tier (Little Cup). Elgyem is weak to Bug, Dark, and Ghost-typed attacks.

Special Sweeper Elgyem (Analytic)
Elgyem is an awesome Special Sweeper for single battles. It tries to take down the opponent's team with high-damaging special attacks. Choice Specs will increase the damage of Elgyem's special moves by 1.5x but will lock you into the first move you pick. Life Orb boosts the power of Elgyem's damaging moves by 1.3x but it then loses 1/10 its max HP immediately after the attack. With Analytic, Elgyem's attacks have 1.3x power if it is the last to move in a turn.
◆ Psyshock is a special STAB-boosted 80-base power Psychic-type move (damages target based on defense, not special defense).
◆ Thunderbolt is a special 90-base power Electric-type move (10% chance to paralyze the target).
◆ Energy Ball is a special 90-base power Grass-type move (10% chance to lower the target's special defense by 1 stage).
◆ Shadow Ball is a special 80-base power Ghost-type move (20% chance to lower the target's special defense by 1 stage).
