What is a good competitive moveset for Gossifleur? These builds have been optimized for Pokemon competing in Sword/Shield Single Battles. The movesets and EVs have been specifically calibrated to deal the most amount of damage to the largest group of potentially common opponents and typing threats for the Sword/Shield generation metagame.
Gossifleur is an outstanding Grass-typed Pokemon. Gossifleur is not a Pokemon anyone usually expects sees on the battlefield. Gossifleur can be quite a contender in the LC tier (Little Cup). Gossifleur is weak to Bug, Fire, Flying, Ice, and Poison-typed attacks.

Physical Sweeper Gossifleur (Cotton Down)
Gossifleur is an awesome Physical Sweeper for single battles. It's meant to take down the opponent's team with brute physical power. Focus Sash helps protect Gossifleur from being one-shotted and allowing it to atleast use a crucial move when brought out (usually Rapid Spin clear any hazards from the field and boost Gossifleur's speed). With Cotton Down, if Gossifleur is hit it lowers the speed of all other pokemon on the field 1 stage. Facade's damage doubles when the user has a status affliction. With a Blunder Policy equipped to it, if Gossifleur misses due to accuracy, its speed is raised by 2 stages then the Blunder Policy gets consumed.
◆ Razor Leaf is a physical STAB-boosted 55-base power Grass-type move (high critical hit ratio. Hits adjacent foes).
◆ Facade is a physical 70-base power Normal-type move (power doubles if Gossifleur is burn/poison/paralyzed).
◆ Rapid Spin is a physical 50-base power Normal-type move (free Gossifleur from hazards/bind/leech seed; +1 spe).
◆ Leech Seed is a status move (1/8 of target's hp is restored to Gossifleur every turn).

Special Sweeper Gossifleur (Cotton Down)
Gossifleur is an astounding Special Sweeper for single battles. It is designed to take down the opponent's team with high-damaging special attacks. Throat Spray activates when a Pokemon uses a sound-based move (in this case Hyper Voice or Round) and increases Gossifleur's special attack stat by 2 stages. With Cotton Down, if Gossifleur is hit it lowers the speed of all other pokemon on the field 1 stage. With a Eject Pack equipped to it, if Gossifleur's stat stages are lowered, it switches to a chosen ally then the Eject Pack gets consumed.
◆ Energy Ball is a special STAB-boosted 90-base power Grass-type move (10% chance to lower the target's special defense by 1 stage).
