What is a good competitive moveset for Marshadow? These builds have been optimized for Pokemon competing in Sword/Shield Single Battles. The movesets and EVs have been specifically calibrated to deal the most amount of damage to the largest group of potentially common opponents and typing threats for the Sword/Shield generation metagame.
Marshadow is a wonderful Fighting and Ghost-typed Pokemon. It's a pretty usual sight to see Marshadow out in the 8th generation battlefield. Marshadow is considered strong enough to compete with Uber tiered Pokemon. Marshadow is weak to Fairy, Flying, Ghost, and Psychic-typed attacks.

Physical Sweeper Marshadow (Technician)
Marshadow is a legendary Physical Sweeper for single battles. It's designed to take down the opponent's team with brute physical power. Choice Band will increase the damage of Marshadow's physical moves by 1.5x at the cost of locking you into the first move you pick. With Technician, Marshadow's moves of 60 or less power get boosted by 1.5x power. With a Eject Pack equipped to it, if Marshadow's stat stages are lowered, it switches to a chosen ally then the Eject Pack gets consumed.
◆ Revenge is a physical STAB-boosted 60-base power Fighting-type move (power doubles if Marshadow is damaged by the target).
◆ Poltergeist is a physical STAB-boosted 110-base power Ghost-type move (fails if the target has no held item).
◆ Shadow Claw is a physical STAB-boosted 70-base power Ghost-type move (high critical hit ratio).
◆ Outrage is a physical 120-base power Dragon-type move (lasts 2-3 turns. Confuses your Marshadow afterwards).
◆ Foul Play is a physical 95-base power Dark-type move (uses target's attack stat in damage calculation).
◆ Knock Off is a physical 65-base power Dark-type move (1.5x damage if foe holds an item; Note: This will also remove that item).
