What is a good competitive moveset for Zamazenta? These builds have been optimized for Pokemon competing in Sword/Shield Single Battles. The movesets and EVs have been specifically calibrated to deal the most amount of damage to the largest group of potentially common opponents and typing threats for the Sword/Shield generation metagame.
Zamazenta is a fabulous Fighting-typed Pokemon. Zamazenta is a pretty standard Pokemon to see in Generation 8. Zamazenta is considered strong enough to compete with Uber tiered Pokemon. Zamazenta is weak to Fairy, Flying, and Psychic-typed attacks.

Physical Sweeper Zamazenta (Dauntless Shield)
Zamazenta is a legendary Physical Sweeper for single battles. It is designed to take down the opponent's team with brute physical power. The Shell Bell item option is to help Zamazenta recover from the recoil damage it may take from Wild Charge. With Dauntless Shield, on switch-in Zamazenta's defense is raised by 1 stage. Crunch was added to provide additional threat coverage. With a Eject Pack equipped to it, if Zamazenta's stat stages are lowered, it switches to a chosen ally then the Eject Pack gets consumed.
◆ Revenge is a physical STAB-boosted 60-base power Fighting-type move (power doubles if Zamazenta is damaged by the target).
◆ Crunch is a physical 80-base power Dark-type move (20% chance to lower the target's defense by 1 stage).
◆ Slash is a physical 70-base power Normal-type move (high critical hit ratio).
◆ Wild Charge is a physical 90-base power Electric-type move (has 1/4 recoil).
◆ Play Rough is a physical 90-base power Fairy-type move (10% chance to lower the target's attack by 1 stage).
◆ Psychic Fangs is a physical 85-base power Psychic-type move (destroys screens, unless the target is immune).

Zamazenta is a legendary Special Wall for double battles. This particular build was popular during past competitions. It's primary goal is to take a great amount of hits from special attacks while dealing some decent damage. With Dauntless Shield, on switch-in Zamazenta's defense is raised by 1 stage. With a Rusted Shield equipped to it, if held by a zamazenta, this item changes its forme to crowned shield.
◆ Close Combat is a physical STAB-boosted 120-base power Fighting-type move (lowers your Zamazenta's defense and special defense by 1 stage).
