What is a good competitive moveset for Vivillon? These builds have been optimized for Pokemon competing in Scarlet/Violet Single Battles. The movesets and EVs have been specifically calibrated to deal the most amount of damage to the largest group of potentially common opponents and typing threats for the Scarlet/Violet generation metagame.

Vivillon is a phenomenal Bug and Flying-typed Pokemon. It's a pretty regular sight to see Vivillon out in the 9th generation battlefield. Vivillon is weak to Electric, Fire, Flying, Ice, and Rock-typed attacks.

Vivillon is a notable Special Sweeper for single battles. It's purpose is to take down the opponent's team with high-damaging special attacks. Focus Sash helps protect Vivillon from being one-shotted and allowing it to atleast use a crucial move when brought out. With Shield Dust, Vivillon is not affected by the secondary effect of another pokemon's attack. With a Charti Berry equipped to it, halves damage taken from a supereffective rock-type attack then the Charti Berry gets consumed.
