What is a good competitive moveset for Duosion? These builds have been optimized for Pokemon competing in X/Y Single Battles. The movesets and EVs have been specifically calibrated to deal the most amount of damage to the largest group of potentially common opponents and typing threats for the X/Y generation metagame.
Duosion is pretty popular Psychic-typed Pokemon. Duosion is not a Pokemon anyone usually expects sees on the battlefield. Duosion is weak to Bug, Dark, and Ghost-typed attacks.

Special Sweeper Duosion (Magic Guard)
Duosion is a fabulous Special Sweeper. It is meant to take down the opponent's team with high-damaging special attacks. Choice Specs will increase the damage of Duosion's special moves by 1.5x but will lock you into the first move you pick. Life Orb boosts the power of Duosion's damaging moves by 1.3x but it then loses 1/10 its max HP immediately after the attack. However, Magic Guard negates the recoil damage from Life Orb while still increasing the damage making it an amazing item for Duosion. With Magic Guard, Duosion can only be damaged by direct attacks.
♦ Psyshock is a special STAB-boosted 80-base power Psychic-type move (damages target based on defense, not special defense).
♦ Energy Ball is a special 90-base power Grass-type move (10% chance to lower the target's special defense by 1 stage).
♦ Shadow Ball is a special 80-base power Ghost-type move (20% chance to lower the target's special defense by 1 stage).
♦ Night Shade is a special 0-base power Ghost-type move (does damage equal to your Duosion's level).
♦ Flash Cannon is a special 80-base power Steel-type move (10% chance to lower the target's special defense by 1 stage).
