Movesets for Singles
Looking for a competitive moveset for Sneasel? These builds are optimized for X/Y Single Battles. The movesets and EVs are designed to maximize damage against common opponents and threats in the X/Y metagame. Check out the expert movesets below to boost your battle performance and dominate your opponents!
Meet Sneasel, the marvelous Pokémon of Dark and Ice types! Sneasel is not a Pokémon anyone usually expects to see on the battlefield. It is weak to Bug, Fairy, Fighting, Fire, Rock, and Steel-typed attacks. Discover how Sneasel excels in battles with the movesets provided below.
Sneasel is pretty popular Physical Sweeper. It's primary goal is to take down the opponent's team with brute physical power. Focus Sash helps protect Sneasel from being one-shotted and allowing it to atleast use a crucial move when brought out. With Inner Focus, Sneasel cannot be made to flinch. Poison Jab or Brick Break are added to provide additional threat coverage.
♦ Knock Off is a physical STAB-boosted 65-base power Dark-type move (1.5x damage if foe holds an item; Note: This will also remove that item). ♦ Bite is a physical STAB-boosted 60-base power Dark-type move (30% chance to flinch the target). ♦ Poison Jab is a physical 80-base power Poison-type move (30% chance to poison the target). ♦ Brick Break is a physical 75-base power Fighting-type move (destroys screens, unless the target is immune). ♦ Icicle Crash is a physical STAB-boosted 85-base power Ice-type move (30% chance to flinch the target). ♦ Ice Punch is a physical STAB-boosted 75-base power Ice-type move (10% chance to freeze the target). ♦ Shadow Claw is a physical 70-base power Ghost-type move (high critical hit ratio).

Note: The damage listed here under Versus is not actually calculated using the in-game damage formula. It is simply calculated using typing weaknesses and resistances from the selected type-matchup modifier along with STAB (if applied) to help sort through and give a general idea as to how powerful certain moves might be towards that selected typing after modifiers are applied. Several moves listed here may have additional effects that might alter actual damage output which are not factored on this specific list. Use damage calculators to find actual damage amounts.
