Meet Larvitar, the wonderful Pokémon of Rock and Ground types! Larvitar is not a Pokémon anyone usually expects to see on the battlefield. In the LC tier (Little Cup), it's a fierce competitor. It is weak to Fighting, Grass, Ground, Ice, Steel, and Water-typed attacks. Explore the movesets of Larvitar below to understand its battle capabilities.
Species: Larvitar Item: Flame Orb / Soft Sand Ability: Guts Nature: Adamant (+Atk, -SpA) EVs: 4 Hp / 252 Atk / 252 Spe Moveset: - Earthquake / Bulldoze - Rock Slide / Iron Head - Superpower - Protect
Physical Sweeper Larvitar (Guts)
Larvitar is a remarkable Physical Sweeper. It's purpose is to take down the opponent's team with brute physical power. White Herb will reset Larvitar's negative stat changes once (specifically for when it uses Superpower). Focus Sash helps protect Larvitar from being one-shotted and allowing it to atleast use a crucial move when brought out. Flame Orb will burn Larvitar at the end of the turn which will activate Larvitar's Guts ability. Use Protect to help guarantee the Orb activates on your first turn. With Guts, if Larvitar is statused its attack is 1.5x; ignores burn halving physical damage. Rock Slide or Iron Head are added to provide additional threat coverage.
♦ Earthquake is a physical STAB-boosted 100-base power Ground-type move (hits adjacent pokemon). ♦ Bulldoze is a physical STAB-boosted 60-base power Ground-type move (100% chance lower adjacent pkmn speed by 1 stage). ♦ Rock Slide is a physical STAB-boosted 75-base power Rock-type move (30% chance to flinch the foes). ♦ Iron Head is a physical 80-base power Steel-type move (30% chance to flinch the target). ♦ Superpower is a physical 120-base power Fighting-type move (lowers your Larvitar's attack and defense by 1 stage). ♦ Protect is a status move (prevents moves from affecting your Larvitar this turn).

Several moves listed here may have additional effects that might alter actual damage output which are not factored on this specific list. Use damage calculators to find actual damage amounts.
