Larvitar is a fabulous Rock and Ground-typed Pokemon. Larvitar is not a Pokemon anyone usually expects sees on the battlefield. Larvitar can be quite a contender in the LC tier (Little Cup). Larvitar is weak to Fighting, Grass, Ground, Ice, Steel, and Water-typed attacks.

Physical Sweeper Larvitar (Guts)
Larvitar is an interesting Physical Sweeper. It's designed to take down the opponent's team with brute physical power. Flame Orb will burn Larvitar at the end of the turn which will activate Larvitar's Guts ability. Use Protect to help guarantee the Orb activates on your first turn. With Guts, if Larvitar is statused its attack is 1.5x; ignores burn halving physical damage. Rock Slide or Iron Head are added to provide additional threat coverage.
♦ Rock Slide is a physical STAB-boosted 75-base power Rock-type move (30% chance to flinch the foes).
♦ Iron Head is a physical 80-base power Steel-type move (30% chance to flinch the target).
♦ Superpower is a physical 120-base power Fighting-type move (lowers your Larvitar's attack and defense by 1 stage).
♦ Protect is a status move (prevents moves from affecting your Larvitar this turn).

Doubles Physical Sweeper Larvitar (Guts)
Larvitar is an outstanding Physical Sweeper. The purpose of this moveset is to take down the opponent's team with brute physical power. Flame Orb will burn Larvitar at the end of the turn which will activate Larvitar's Guts ability. Use Protect to help guarantee the Orb activates on your first turn. With Guts, if Larvitar is statused its attack is 1.5x; ignores burn halving physical damage. Iron Head was added to provide additional threat coverage.Facade's damage doubles when the user has a status affliction. Combine that with Guts to seriously give Larvitar a sweet boost.
