Movesets for Singles
Looking for a competitive moveset for Oddish? These builds are optimized for Black/White Single Battles. The movesets and EVs are designed to maximize damage against common opponents and threats in the Black/White metagame. Check out the expert movesets below to boost your battle performance and dominate your opponents!
Meet Oddish, the outstanding Pokémon of Grass and Poison types! Oddish is not a Pokémon anyone usually expects to see on the battlefield. It often dominates battles in the LC tier (Little Cup). It is weak to Fire, Flying, Ice, and Psychic-typed attacks. Explore the movesets below to see how Oddish performs in battles.
Oddish is popular Special Sweeper. It's primary goal is to take down the opponent's team with high-damaging special attacks. Focus Sash helps protect Oddish from being one-shotted and allowing it to atleast use a crucial move when brought out. Life Orb boosts the power of Oddish's damaging moves by 1.3x but it then loses 1/10 its max HP immediately after the attack. With Chlorophyll, if sunny day is active Oddish's speed is doubled.
♦ Petal Dance is a special STAB-boosted 120-base power Grass-type move (lasts 2-3 turns. confuses your Oddish afterwards). ♦ Energy Ball is a special STAB-boosted 80-base power Grass-type move (10% chance to lower the target's special defense by 1 stage). ♦ Sludge Bomb is a special STAB-boosted 90-base power Poison-type move (30% chance to poison the target). ♦ Venoshock is a special STAB-boosted 65-base power Poison-type move (power doubles if the target is poisoned). ♦ Round is a special 60-base power Normal-type move (power doubles if others used round this turn). ♦ Snore is a special 40-base power Normal-type move (Oddish must be asleep. 30% chance to flinch target). ♦ Moonlight is a status move (heals your Oddish by a weather-dependent amount).

|
Note: The damage listed here under Versus is not actually calculated using the in-game damage formula. It is simply calculated using typing weaknesses and resistances from the selected type-matchup modifier along with STAB (if applied) to help sort through and give a general idea as to how powerful certain moves might be towards that selected typing after modifiers are applied. Several moves listed here may have additional effects that might alter actual damage output which are not factored on this specific list. Use damage calculators to find actual damage amounts.
