What is a good competitive moveset for Turtwig? These builds have been optimized for Pokemon competing in Black/White Single Battles. The movesets and EVs have been specifically calibrated to deal the most amount of damage to the largest group of potentially common opponents and typing threats for the Black/White generation metagame.
Turtwig is pretty popular Grass-typed Pokemon. Turtwig is not a Pokemon anyone usually expects sees on the battlefield. Turtwig can be quite a contender in the LC tier (Little Cup). Turtwig is weak to Bug, Fire, Flying, Ice, and Poison-typed attacks.

Physical Sweeper Turtwig (Shell Armor)
Turtwig is an extraordinary Physical Sweeper. It's goal is to take down the opponent's team with brute physical power. Turtwig is not a Pokemon anyone usually expects sees on the battlefield until Eviolite was attached to it. If Eviolite is held by a Pokémon that is not fully evolved, it will raises the Defense and Special Defense of that Pokemon by 50%. White Herb will reset Turtwig's negative stat changes once (specifically for when it uses Superpower). Focus Sash helps protect Turtwig from being one-shotted and allowing it to atleast use a crucial move when brought out. Life Orb boosts the power of Turtwig's damaging moves by 1.3x but it then loses 1/10 its max HP immediately after the attack. With Shell Armor, Turtwig cannot be struck by a critical hit.

♦ Double-Edge is a physical 120-base power Normal-type move (has 33% recoil).
♦ Frustration is a physical 0-base power Normal-type move (max 102 power at minimum happiness).
♦ Seed Bomb is a physical STAB-boosted 80-base power Grass-type move that deals a hefty amount of damage.
♦ Razor Leaf is a physical STAB-boosted 55-base power Grass-type move (high critical hit ratio. hits adjacent foes).
♦ Crunch is a physical 80-base power Dark-type move (20% chance to lower the target's defense by 1 stage).
♦ Bite is a physical 60-base power Dark-type move (30% chance to flinch the target).
