Movesets for Singles
Looking for a competitive moveset for Natu? These builds are optimized for Gold/Silver Single Battles. The movesets and EVs are designed to maximize damage against common opponents and threats in the Gold/Silver metagame. Check out the expert movesets below to boost your battle performance and dominate your opponents!
Say hello to Natu, an extraordinary Pokémon that excels with Psychic and Flying typing! Natu is not a Pokémon anyone usually expects to see on the battlefield. It often dominates battles in the LC tier (Little Cup). There were no known abilities back in the Gold/Silver Pokémon games. It is weak to Dark, Electric, Ghost, Ice, and Rock-typed attacks. Explore the movesets below to see how Natu performs in battles.
Natu excels as a marvelous Special Sweeper during single battles. It was designed to overwhelm foes with brute special power. In the dark days before Generation IV, a move's damage category was determined by its type. With a Twisted Spoon equipped to it, Natu's psychic-type attacks have 1.1x power.
◆ Psychic is a special STAB-boosted 90-base power Psychic-type move (10% chance to lower the target's special defense by 1 stage). ◆ Future Sight is a special STAB-boosted 80-base power Psychic-type move (hits two turns after being used). ◆ Giga Drain is a special 60-base power Grass-type move (Natu recovers 50% of the damage dealt). ◆ Solar Beam is a special 120-base power Grass-type move (charges turn 1. Hits turn 2. No charge in sunlight). ◆ Thief is a special 40-base power Dark-type move (if your Natu has no item, it steals the target's). ◆ Curse is a status move (curses if ghost, else -1 spe, +1 atk, +1 def).

Note: The damage listed here under Versus is not actually calculated using the in-game damage formula. It is simply calculated using typing weaknesses and resistances from the selected type-matchup modifier along with STAB (if applied) to help sort through and give a general idea as to how powerful certain moves might be towards that selected typing after modifiers are applied. Several moves listed here may have additional effects that might alter actual damage output which are not factored on this specific list. Use damage calculators to find actual damage amounts.
