Combusken is an outstanding Special Sweeper. It is designed to take down the opponent's team with high-damaging special attacks. Focus Sash helps protect Combusken from being one-shotted and allowing it to atleast use a crucial move when brought out. With Speed Boost, Combusken's speed is raised 1 stage at the end of each full turn on the field.

♦ Vacuum Wave is a special STAB-boosted priority-increased 40-base power Fighting-type move (usually goes first).

Combusken Support (Chica The Chicken)
Combusken is a stupendous Support. Focus Sash helps protect Combusken from being one-shotted and allowing it to atleast use a crucial move when brought out (usually Flame Charge to boost Combusken for the following turns). With Speed Boost, Combusken's speed is raised 1 stage at the end of each full turn on the field. Since the ban of Blaziken, I have built a combusted to do a similar job. Protect for speed boost, use any of the self status moves, protect again, then use an attack or baton pass.
♦ Hone Claws is a status move (raises your Combusken's attack and accuracy by 1 stage).
♦ Bulk Up is a status move (raises your Combusken's attack and defense by 1 stage).
♦ Baton Pass is a status move (Combusken switches, passing stat changes and more).
♦ Protect is a status move (prevents moves from affecting your Combusken this turn).
