The Shell Bell item option is to help Eelektrik recover from the recoil damage it may take from Wild Charge. The Levitate ability makes Eelektrik immune to damaging Ground-type moves. With Levitate and Eelektrik having an solely Electric typing, it loses all other possible type-based weaknesses. The only weakness Electric Pokemon have is Ground, which aslong as Eelektrik keeps it's Levitate ability intact should keep it from taking any super-effective damage (except Thousand Arrows). Levitate also makes Eelektrik unaffected by the effects of Spikes, Arena Trap, Toxic Spikes, Sticky Web, Rototiller or terrain effects. Keep in mind that Ingrain, Gravity, Smack down and the Iron ball item will nullify Levitate's effect. Facade's damage doubles when the user has a status affliction. With a Electrium Z equipped to it, if Eelektrik has an electric move, this item allows it to use an electric z-move.
