What is a good competitive moveset for Snivy? These builds have been optimized for Pokemon competing in Sun/Moon Single Battles. The movesets and EVs have been specifically calibrated to deal the most amount of damage to the largest group of potentially common opponents and typing threats for the Sun/Moon generation metagame.
Snivy is a stupendous Grass-typed Pokemon. Snivy is not a Pokemon anyone usually expects sees on the battlefield. Snivy can be quite a contender in the LC tier (Little Cup). Snivy is weak to Bug, Fire, Flying, Ice, and Poison-typed attacks.

Physical Sweeper Snivy (Contrary)
Snivy is an awesome Physical Sweeper. It's purpose is to take down the opponent's team with brute physical power. Life Orb boosts the power of Snivy's damaging moves by 1.3x but it then loses 1/10 its max HP immediately after the attack. With Contrary, if Snivy has a stat stage raised it is lowered instead and vice versa.
♦ Seed Bomb is a physical STAB-boosted 80-base power Grass-type move that deals a great amount of damage.
♦ Return is a physical 0-base power Normal-type move (max 102 power at maximum happiness).
♦ Secret Power is a physical 70-base power Normal-type move (effect varies with terrain. (30% paralysis chance)).
♦ Knock Off is a physical 65-base power Dark-type move (1.5x damage if foe holds an item; Note: This will also remove that item).
♦ Pursuit is a physical 40-base power Dark-type move (power doubles if a foe is switching out).
♦ Aqua Tail is a physical 90-base power Water-type move that deals a considerable amount of damage.

Snivy is an astounding Special Sweeper. It tries to take down the opponent's team with high-damaging special attacks. With Contrary, if Snivy has a stat stage raised it is lowered instead and vice versa.

Snivy Special Tank (Smugleaf Ftw)
Snivy is an extraordinary Special Tank. It's goal is to take a good amount of hits from special attacks while dealing some decent damage. Snivy is not a Pokemon anyone usually expects sees on the battlefield until Eviolite was attached to it. If Eviolite is held by a Pokémon that is not fully evolved, it will raises the Defense and Special Defense of that Pokemon by 50%. With Contrary, if Snivy has a stat stage raised it is lowered instead and vice versa.
♦ Energy Ball is a special STAB-boosted 90-base power Grass-type move (10% chance to lower the target's special defense by 1 stage).
♦ Calm Mind is a status move (decreases your Snivy's special attack and special defense by 1 stage).
♦ Mean Look is a status move (prevents the target from switching out).
♦ Toxic is a status move (badly poisons the target; Note: Poison types can't miss with Toxic).
