What is a good competitive moveset for Drakloak? These builds have been optimized for Pokemon competing in Sword/Shield Single Battles. The movesets and EVs have been specifically calibrated to deal the most amount of damage to the largest group of potentially common opponents and typing threats for the Sword/Shield generation metagame.
Drakloak is a marvelous Dragon and Ghost-typed Pokemon. Drakloak is not a Pokemon anyone usually expects sees on the battlefield. Drakloak is weak to Dark, Dragon, Fairy, Ghost, and Ice-typed attacks.
Drakloak is a wonderful Physical Sweeper for single battles. It's meant to take down the opponent's team with brute physical power. Focus Sash helps protect Drakloak from being one-shotted and allowing it to atleast use a crucial move when brought out. Choice Band will increase the damage of Drakloak's physical moves by 1.5x at the cost of locking you into the first move you pick. With Infiltrator, moves ignore substitutes and foe's reflect/light screen/safeguard/mist/aurora veil. Phantom Force was added to provide additional threat coverage.
◆ Outrage is a physical STAB-boosted 120-base power Dragon-type move (lasts 2-3 turns. Confuses your Drakloak afterwards). ◆ Breaking Swipe is a physical STAB-boosted 60-base power Dragon-type move (100% chance to lower the foes attack by 1 stage). ◆ Phantom Force is a physical STAB-boosted 90-base power Ghost-type move (disappears turn 1. Hits turn 2. Breaks protection). ◆ Double-Edge is a physical 120-base power Normal-type move (has 33% recoil). ◆ Psychic Fangs is a physical 85-base power Psychic-type move (destroys screens, unless the target is immune). ◆ Sucker Punch is a physical priority-increased 70-base power Dark-type move (usually goes first. Fails if target is not attacking).
