What is a good competitive moveset for Phantump? These builds have been optimized for Pokemon competing in Sword/Shield Single Battles. The movesets and EVs have been specifically calibrated to deal the most amount of damage to the largest group of potentially common opponents and typing threats for the Sword/Shield generation metagame.
Phantump is a marvelous Ghost and Grass-typed Pokemon. Phantump is not a Pokemon anyone usually expects sees on the battlefield. Phantump can be quite a contender in the LC tier (Little Cup). Phantump is weak to Dark, Fire, Flying, Ghost, and Ice-typed attacks.

Phantump is an interesting Physical Sweeper for single battles. This moveset is designed to take down the opponent's team with brute physical power. With the Harvest ability, if the last item Phantump used was a berry then there is a 50% chance to restore it at the end of each turn (or 100% chance during sunny weather). Foul Play was added to provide additional threat coverage. With a Iapapa Berry equipped to it, restores 33% max hp at 1/4 max hp or less; confuses if -def nature then the Iapapa Berry gets consumed. With a Liechi Berry equipped to it, raises Phantump's attack by 1 stage when at 1/4 max hp or less then the Liechi Berry gets consumed.
◆ Seed Bomb is a physical STAB-boosted 80-base power Grass-type move that deals a hefty amount of damage.
◆ Poltergeist is a physical STAB-boosted 110-base power Ghost-type move (fails if the target has no held item).
◆ Shadow Claw is a physical STAB-boosted 70-base power Ghost-type move (high critical hit ratio).
◆ Foul Play is a physical 95-base power Dark-type move (uses target's attack stat in damage calculation).
◆ Strength is a physical 80-base power Normal-type move that deals a large amount of damage.
