What is a good competitive moveset for Latios? These builds have been optimized for Pokemon competing in X/Y Single Battles. The movesets and EVs have been specifically calibrated to deal the most amount of damage to the largest group of potentially common opponents and typing threats for the X/Y generation metagame.
Latios is an outstanding Dragon and Psychic-typed Pokemon. It's pretty standard to find yourself dealing with Latios when battling in the 6th generation meta. Latios can usually be found in the OU tier (Overused). Latios is weak to Bug, Dark, Dragon, Fairy, Ghost, and Ice-typed attacks.

Special Sweeper Latios (Levitate)
Latios is a legendary Special Sweeper. It attempts to take down the opponent's team with high-damaging special attacks. Life Orb boosts the power of Latios's damaging moves by 1.3x but it then loses 1/10 its max HP immediately after the attack. With Levitate, Latios is immune to ground; gravity/ingrain/smack down/iron ball nullify it.
