Porygon is a wonderful Normal-typed Pokemon. It's a usual sight to see Porygon out in the 6th generation battlefield. Porygon is typically seen in the UU tier (Underused). Porygon's only type-related weakness is Fighting.

Porygon is an interesting Special Sweeper. It's goal is to take down the opponent's team with high-damaging special attacks. Focus Sash helps protect Porygon from being one-shotted and allowing it to atleast use a crucial move when brought out. Choice Specs will increase the damage of Porygon's special moves by 1.5x but will lock you into the first move you pick. With Adaptability, Porygon's same-type attack bonus (stab) is 2 instead of 1.5.
