What is a good competitive moveset for Serperior? These builds have been optimized for Pokemon competing in X/Y Single Battles. The movesets and EVs have been specifically calibrated to deal the most amount of damage to the largest group of potentially common opponents and typing threats for the X/Y generation metagame.
Serperior is a fabulous Grass-typed Pokemon. It's a pretty regular sight to see Serperior out in the 6th generation battlefield. Serperior can usually be found in the OU tier (Overused). Serperior is weak to Bug, Fire, Flying, Ice, and Poison-typed attacks.

Physical Sweeper Serperior (Contrary)
Serperior is an awesome Physical Sweeper. It attempts to take down the opponent's team with brute physical power. Choice Band will increase the damage of Serperior's physical moves by 1.5x at the cost of locking you into the first move you pick. Life Orb boosts the power of Serperior's damaging moves by 1.3x but it then loses 1/10 its max HP immediately after the attack. With Contrary, if Serperior has a stat stage raised it is lowered instead and vice versa. Aqua Tail was added to provide additional threat coverage.
♦ Seed Bomb is a physical STAB-boosted 80-base power Grass-type move that deals a good amount of damage.
♦ Outrage is a physical 120-base power Dragon-type move (lasts 2-3 turns. confuses your Serperior afterwards).
♦ Dragon Tail is a physical 60-base power Dragon-type move (forces the target to switch to a random ally).
♦ Aqua Tail is a physical 90-base power Water-type move that deals a decent amount of damage.
♦ Return is a physical 0-base power Normal-type move (max 102 power at maximum happiness).
♦ Knock Off is a physical 65-base power Dark-type move (1.5x damage if foe holds an item; Note: This will also remove that item).
♦ Pursuit is a physical 40-base power Dark-type move (power doubles if a foe is switching out).

Special Sweeper Serperior (Contrary)
Serperior is a phenomenal Special Sweeper. It attempts to take down the opponent's team with high-damaging special attacks. Choice Specs will increase the damage of Serperior's special moves by 1.5x but will lock you into the first move you pick. Life Orb boosts the power of Serperior's damaging moves by 1.3x but it then loses 1/10 its max HP immediately after the attack. With Contrary, if Serperior has a stat stage raised it is lowered instead and vice versa.
♦ Energy Ball is a special STAB-boosted 90-base power Grass-type move (10% chance to lower the target's special defense by 1 stage).
♦ Dragon Pulse is a special 85-base power Dragon-type move that deals a substantial amount of damage.
♦ Twister is a special 40-base power Dragon-type move (20% chance to flinch the foes).
♦ Hyper Beam is a special 150-base power Normal-type move (Serperior cannot move next turn).
♦ Round is a special 60-base power Normal-type move (power doubles if others used round this turn).
♦ Mirror Coat is a special 0-base power Psychic-type move (if hit by special attack, returns double damage).

Serperior Support (Solid Snake)
Serperior is a fabulous Support. With Overgrow, at 1/3 or less of its max hp Serperior's attacking stat is 1.5x with grass attacks. With good defenses and speed, Serperior is a great candidate for Calm Mind, needing very little help to set up. After one or two Calm Minds, Serperior's offensive abilities improve significantly, and enable it to bring down most Pokemon with a Giga Drain or Hidden Power. After a Calm Mind, Serperior's Special Attack will only be as high as a neutral natured Jellicent's, so getting off more than one Calm Mind should be your goal, and is safer when Serperior has Rest and Chesto Berry.
♦ Taunt is a status move (target can't use status moves its next 3 turns).
♦ Giga Drain is a special STAB-boosted 75-base power Grass-type move (Serperior recovers 50% of the damage dealt).
♦ Rest is a status move (Serperior sleeps 2 turns and restores hp and status).
♦ Protect is a status move (prevents moves from affecting your Serperior this turn).

Serperior Double Wall (Hp Serpent)
Serperior is a remarkable Double Wall. It's goal is to have enough defenses and bulk to take both physical and special hits. With Overgrow, at 1/3 or less of its max hp Serperior's attacking stat is 1.5x with grass attacks. This Moveset is a tricky one. I can't decide for its Nature though. First is to set Leech seed + Growth combo. Once Special attack increased, use Giga Drain and your HP will be boosted to Full then use Wring Out another Special Attack to achieve its maximum damage dealt which is 120. This is a no TM and no Breeding moveset so any can replace Growth with Calm Mind though.
♦ Giga Drain is a special STAB-boosted 75-base power Grass-type move (Serperior recovers 50% of the damage dealt).
♦ Growth is a status move (raises Serperior's attack and special attack by 1 stage; 2 in sun).
♦ Leech Seed is a status move (1/8 of target's hp is restored to Serperior every turn).
