Magmortar is a spectacular Fire-typed Pokemon. Magmortar is a not-uncommon Pokemon to see in Generation 5. Magmortar is weak to Ground, Rock, and Water-typed attacks.
Magmortar is an astounding Special Sweeper. It attempts to take down the opponent's team with high-damaging special attacks. White Herb will reset Magmortar's negative stat changes once (specifically for when it uses Overheat). Focus Sash helps protect Magmortar from being one-shotted and allowing it to atleast use a crucial move when brought out. Life Orb boosts the power of Magmortar's damaging moves by 1.3x but it then loses 1/10 its max HP immediately after the attack. With Flame Body, 30% chance a pokemon making contact with Magmortar will be burned.
