What is a good competitive moveset for Tepig? These builds have been optimized for Pokemon competing in Black/White Single Battles. The movesets and EVs have been specifically calibrated to deal the most amount of damage to the largest group of potentially common opponents and typing threats for the Black/White generation metagame.
Tepig is an outstanding Fire-typed Pokemon. Tepig is not a Pokemon anyone usually expects sees on the battlefield. Tepig can be quite a contender in the LC tier (Little Cup). Tepig is weak to Ground, Rock, and Water-typed attacks.

Physical Sweeper Tepig
Tepig is an outstanding Physical Sweeper. This moveset attempts to take down the opponent's team with brute physical power. White Herb will reset Tepig's negative stat changes once (specifically for when it uses Superpower). Focus Sash helps protect Tepig from being one-shotted and allowing it to atleast use a crucial move when brought out (usually Flame Charge to boost Tepig for the following turns). Life Orb boosts the power of Tepig's damaging moves by 1.3x but it then loses 1/10 its max HP immediately after the attack. With Blaze, at 1/3 or less of its max hp Tepig's attacking stat is 1.5x with fire attacks.
♦ Flame Charge is a physical STAB-boosted 50-base power Fire-type move (100% chance to raise your Tepig's speed by 1 stage).
♦ Superpower is a physical 120-base power Fighting-type move (lowers your Tepig's attack and defense by 1 stage).
♦ Rock Smash is a physical 40-base power Fighting-type move (50% chance to lower the target's defense by 1 stage).
♦ Frustration is a physical 0-base power Normal-type move (max 102 power at minimum happiness).
♦ Return is a physical 0-base power Normal-type move (max 102 power at maximum happiness).
♦ Wild Charge is a physical 90-base power Electric-type move (has 1/4 recoil).
♦ Assurance is a physical 50-base power Dark-type move (power doubles if target was damaged this turn).

Tepig is an outstanding Physical Tank. This moveset attempts to take a large amount of physical hits while dealing some decent damage. With Blaze, at 1/3 or less of its max hp Tepig's attacking stat is 1.5x with fire attacks.
♦ Flare Blitz is a physical STAB-boosted 120-base power Fire-type move (has 33% recoil. 10% chance to burn. thaws Tepig).
♦ Magnitude is a physical 0-base power Ground-type move (hits adjacent pokemon. power varies; 2x on dig).
