What is a good competitive moveset for Ralts? These builds have been optimized for Pokemon competing in Diamond/Pearl Single Battles. The movesets and EVs have been specifically calibrated to deal the most amount of damage to the largest group of potentially common opponents and typing threats for the Diamond/Pearl generation metagame.
Ralts is a stupendous Psychic-typed Pokemon. Ralts is not a Pokemon anyone usually expects sees on the battlefield. Ralts can be quite a contender in the LC tier (Little Cup). Ralts is weak to Bug, Dark, and Ghost-typed attacks.

Special Sweeper Ralts (Synchronize)
Ralts is popular Special Sweeper. It tries to take down the opponent's team with high-damaging special attacks. Choice Specs will increase the damage of Ralts's special moves by 1.5x but will lock you into the first move you pick. Life Orb boosts the power of Ralts's damaging moves by 1.3x but it then loses 1/10 its max HP immediately after the attack. With Synchronize, if another pokemon burns/poisons/paralyzes Ralts it also gets that status.

♦ Thunderbolt is a special 95-base power Electric-type move (10% chance to paralyze the target).

Ralts is a pretty decent Special Sweeper. It's designed to take down the opponent's team with high-damaging special attacks. Defensive Trick Room Ralts (Synchronize)
Ralts is a pretty decent Defensive Trick Room. Focus Sash helps protect Ralts from being one-shotted and allowing it to atleast use a crucial move when brought out. With Synchronize, if another pokemon burns/poisons/paralyzes Ralts it also gets that status.
♦ Pain Split is a status move (shares hp of Ralts and target equally).
♦ Defense Curl is a status move (raises your Ralts's defense by 1 stage).
♦ Trick Room is a status move (goes last. for 5 turns, turn order is reversed).
Note: This moveset is considered Taunt bait! It is highly recommended you typically have atleast one move that does actual damage!
