Yanma is a pretty decent Bug and Flying-typed Pokemon. It's a almost common sight to see Yanma out in the 2nd generation battlefield. There were no known abilities back in the Gold/Silver Pokemon games. Yanma is weak to Electric, Fire, Flying, Ice, and Rock-typed attacks.

Yanma is a spectacular Physical Sweeper. It's designed to take down the opponent's team with brute physical power. Years before Generation IV, a move's damage category was determined by its type. Focus Sash helps protect Yanma from being one-shotted and allowing it to atleast use a crucial move when brought out.

Return is a physical 0-base power Normal-type move (max 102 power at maximum happiness).
Headbutt is a physical 70-base power Normal-type move (30% chance to flinch the target).
Wing Attack is a physical STAB-boosted 60-base power Flying-type move that deals damage.
Steel Wing is a physical 70-base power Steel-type move (10% chance to raise your Yanma's defense by 1 stage).
