Dewgong is a spectacular Water and Ice-typed Pokemon. It's pretty usual to see Dewgong show up as a Red/Blue opponent. Dewgong is typically seen in the UU tier (Underused). There were no known abilities or equippable items back in the Red/Blue Pokemon games. Dewgong is weak to Electric, Fighting, Ground, and Rock-typed attacks.
Dewgong is a pretty decent Special Sweeper in single battles. It tries to take down the opponent's team with high-damaging special attacks. The original Red/Blue Pokemon had alot to deal with on the battle field. Don't forget back before Generation IV, a move's damage category was determined by its type.
