Explore the movesets below to see how Mankey performs in battles.
Species: Mankey Moveset: - Double-Edge / Body Slam - Rock Slide - Low Kick / Seismic Toss - Dig
Physical Sweeper Mankey (Retro)
Mankey is a sensational Physical Sweeper in single battles. This moveset attempts to take down the opponent's team with brute physical power. Things definately worked differently in the first generation. Back before Generation IV, a move's damage category was determined by its type.
♦ Double-Edge is a physical 100-base power Normal-type move (has 1/4 recoil). ♦ Body Slam is a physical 85-base power Normal-type move (30% chance to paralyze the target). ♦ Rock Slide is a physical 75-base power Rock-type move that deals damage. ♦ Low Kick is a physical STAB-boosted 50-base power Fighting-type move (30% chance to flinch the target). ♦ Seismic Toss is a physical STAB-boosted 1-base power Fighting-type move (damage = Mankey's level. Can hit ghost types). ♦ Dig is a physical 100-base power Ground-type move (digs underground turn 1, strikes turn 2).

Note: The damage listed here under Versus is not actually calculated using the in-game damage formula. It is simply calculated using typing weaknesses and resistances from the selected type-matchup modifier along with STAB (if applied) to help sort through and give a general idea as to how powerful certain moves might be towards that selected typing after modifiers are applied. Several moves listed here may have additional effects that might alter actual damage output which are not factored on this specific list. Use damage calculators to find actual damage amounts.
