Mankey is an astounding Fighting-typed Pokemon. Mankey is not a Pokemon anyone usually expects sees on the battlefield. Mankey can be quite a contender in the LC tier (Little Cup). Mankey is weak to Fairy, Flying, and Psychic-typed attacks.

Physical Sweeper Mankey (Defiant)
Mankey is a marvelous Physical Sweeper. It's primary goal is to take down the opponent's team with brute physical power. Life Orb boosts the power of Mankey's damaging moves by 1.3x but it then loses 1/10 its max HP immediately after the attack. With Defiant, Mankey's attack is raised by 2 for each of its stats that is lowered by a foe. Night Slash was added to provide additional threat coverage.
♦ Brick Break is a physical STAB-boosted 75-base power Fighting-type move (destroys screens, unless the target is immune).
♦ Night Slash is a physical 70-base power Dark-type move (high critical hit ratio).
♦ Double-Edge is a physical 120-base power Normal-type move (has 33% recoil).
♦ Outrage is a physical 120-base power Dragon-type move (lasts 2-3 turns. confuses your Mankey afterwards).
♦ Earthquake is a physical 100-base power Ground-type move (hits adjacent pokemon).

Mankey is a decent Physical Sweeper. It is meant to take down the opponent's team with brute physical power. With Defiant, Mankey's attack is raised by 2 for each of its stats that is lowered by a foe.

♦ Cross Chop is a physical STAB-boosted 100-base power Fighting-type move (high critical hit ratio).
