Physical Sweeper Meowth (Retro)
Meowth is a decent Physical Sweeper in single battles. It tries to take down the opponent's team with brute physical power. The original meta-game back in the RBY days was ridiculous. In the dark days before Generation IV, a move's damage category was determined by its type.
♦ Double-Edge is a physical STAB-boosted 100-base power Normal-type move (has 1/4 recoil). ♦ Body Slam is a physical STAB-boosted 85-base power Normal-type move (30% chance to paralyze the target). ♦ Toxic is a status move (badly poisons the target). ♦ Substitute is a status move (Meowth takes 1/4 its max hp to put in a substitute). ♦ Growl is a status move (lowers the target's attack by 1 stage).

Note: The damage listed here under Versus is not actually calculated using the in-game damage formula. It is simply calculated using typing weaknesses and resistances from the selected type-matchup modifier along with STAB (if applied) to help sort through and give a general idea as to how powerful certain moves might be towards that selected typing after modifiers are applied. Several moves listed here may have additional effects that might alter actual damage output which are not factored on this specific list. Use damage calculators to find actual damage amounts.
