Physical Sweeper Persian (Retro)

Persian is an interesting Physical Sweeper. It's goal is to take down the opponent's team with brute physical power. The rules of gen-one were quite varied from today. In the old days before Generation IV, a move's damage category was determined by its type.

Hyper Beam is a physical STAB-boosted 150-base power Normal-type move (can't move next turn if target or sub is not koed).
Double-Edge is a physical STAB-boosted 100-base power Normal-type move (has 1/4 recoil).
Toxic is a status move (badly poisons the target).
Substitute is a status move (Persian takes 1/4 its max hp to put in a substitute).
Growl is a status move (lowers the target's attack by 1 stage).

Special Sweeper Persian (Retro)

Persian is a decent Special Sweeper. It's purpose is to take down the opponent's team with high-damaging special attacks. Out of the original 151, Persian was quite something to try to play with in the first generation meta. Don't forget back before Generation IV, a move's damage category was determined by its type.

Thunderbolt is a special 95-base power Electric-type move (10% chance to paralyze the target).
Bubble Beam is a special 65-base power Water-type move (33% chance to lower the target's speed by 1 stage).
Water Gun is a special 40-base power Water-type move that deals damage.
Toxic is a status move (badly poisons the target).
Substitute is a status move (Persian takes 1/4 its max hp to put in a substitute).
