Hypno is a stupendous Psychic-typed Pokemon. Hypno are common Pokemon to see in the RB metagame. Hypno is typically seen in the UU tier (Underused). There were no known abilities or equippable items back in the Red/Blue Pokemon games. Hypno's only type-related weakness is Bug.
Hypno is a sensational Support in single battles. Things definately worked differently in the first generation. Remember prior to Generation IV, a move's damage category was determined by its type.
