Physical Sweeper Raichu (Retro)

Raichu is an interesting Physical Sweeper. It's meant to take down the opponent's team with brute physical power. The rules of gen-one were quite varied from today. In the old days before Generation IV, a move's damage category was determined by its type.

Hyper Beam is a physical 150-base power Normal-type move (can't move next turn if target or sub is not koed).
Double-Edge is a physical 100-base power Normal-type move (has 1/4 recoil).
Seismic Toss is a physical 1-base power Fighting-type move (damage = Raichu's level. can hit ghost types).
Fly is a physical 70-base power Flying-type move (flies up on first turn, then strikes the next turn).
Thunder Wave is a status move (paralyzes the target).

Special Sweeper Raichu (Retro)

Raichu is a stupendous Special Sweeper. It attempts to take down the opponent's team with high-damaging special attacks. Things definately worked differently in the first generation. In the old days prior to Generation IV, a move's damage category was determined by its type.

Thunderbolt is a special STAB-boosted 95-base power Electric-type move (10% chance to paralyze the target).
Thunder Shock is a special STAB-boosted 40-base power Electric-type move (10% chance to paralyze the target).
Surf is a special 95-base power Water-type move that deals a nice amount of damage.
Thunder Wave is a status move (paralyzes the target).
Light Screen is a status move (while active, Raichu's special is 2x when damaged).
