Paras is a phenomenal Physical Sweeper in single battles. It's purpose is to take down the opponent's team with brute physical power. Generation one was a completely different game from what it is now. Years before Generation IV, a move's damage category was determined by its type.
♦ Double-Edge is a physical 100-base power Normal-type move (has 1/4 recoil). ♦ Body Slam is a physical 85-base power Normal-type move (30% chance to paralyze the target). ♦ Dig is a physical 100-base power Ground-type move (digs underground turn 1, strikes turn 2). ♦ Leech Life is a physical STAB-boosted 20-base power Bug-type move (Paras recovers 50% of the damage dealt). ♦ Growth is a status move (raises your Paras's special by 1 stage).
