Years before Generation IV, a move's damage category was determined by its type. White Herb will reset Slugma's negative stat changes once (specifically for when it uses Overheat). With Flame Body, 1/3 chance a pokemon making contact with Slugma will be burned.
♦ Overheat is a special STAB-boosted 140-base power Fire-type move (lowers your Slugma's special attack by 2 stages). ♦ Flamethrower is a special STAB-boosted 95-base power Fire-type move (10% chance to burn the target). ♦ Amnesia is a status move (raises your Slugma's special defense by 2 stages). ♦ Toxic is a status move (badly poisons the target). ♦ Light Screen is a status move (for 5 turns, special damage to allies is halved).
