However, Magic Guard negates the recoil damage from Life Orb while still increasing the damage making it an amazing item for Cleffa. With Magic Guard, Cleffa can only be damaged by direct attacks. With a Firium Z equipped to it, if Cleffa has a fire move, this item allows it to use a fire z-move.
